To the Registrar appointed pursuant to act of Parliament for registering Deeds Wills Conveyances and so forth in Ireland.

 

A Memorial of an Indenture of Conveyance, Made the Twenty Third day of December one thousand eight hundred and forty eight, by virtue of the Acts for the more effectual relief of the destitute Poor in Ireland, Between Louisa ORMSBY of Rungary in the County of Mayo Widow, Andrew JOYNT of Knockmore and James JOYNT of Tallagh both in said County, Esquires, Helena CALDWELL of Foxford in said County Widow and Andrew CALDWELL of Tallagh aforesaid Esquire of the one part and The Commissioners for administering the Laws for Relief of the Poor in Ireland of the other part. Whereby after reciting that the several parties thereto of the first part claimed to be seized and possessed of and in the Lands of Tallagh alias Tallagh Thinely Situate in the Parish of Kilmore and County of Mao containing Two hundred and seventy acres or thereabouts under and by virtue of a Lease made on or about the fifteenth day of July one thousand seven hundred and seven for three lives with a covenant for perpetual renewal subject to the annual rent of nine pounds, of late currency and to re renewal fine of nine pounds, on the fall of each life. Said Indenture of which this is a Memorial witnessed that in consideration of the sum of One hundred and seventy five pounds into the Bank of Ireland paid by the said Commissioners, they the said Louisa ORMSBY, Andrew JOYNT, James JOYNT, Helena CALDWELL and Andrew CALDWELL Did grant and convey unto the said Commissioners All that and those that part of the Lands of Tallagh alias Tallagh Thinely containing seven acres situate measure or thereabouts with the appurtenances situate in the half Barony of Erris and County of Mayo. To Hold the same unto the said Commissioners their Successors and assigns full and ample a manner as they the said Louisa ORMSBY, Andrew JOYNT, James JOYNT, Helena CALDWELL and Andrew CALDWELL then held and enjoyed the same, or as John CALDWELL the original Lessee of said Lands theretofore held and enjoyed the same for ever freed and absolutely discharged and exonerated from all the rent and renewal fines. The Execution of which said Deed and this Memorial thereof respectively by the said Louisa ORMSBY, Andrew JOYNT and Helena CALDWELL is witnessed by James William KNOX of Ballina in the county of Mayo Gentleman and Robert MOSTYN of Crossmolina in the county of Mayo Attorney at Law (signed) Louisa ORMSBY Andrew JOYNT James JOYNT Helena CALDWELL Andrew CALDWELL Signatures Sealed in presence of (signed) James W KNOX Robert MOSTYN.

 

The before named Robert MOSTYN maketh oath and saith that He is a Subscribing witness to the Deed whereof the previously writing is a Memorial or also the said Memorial and to the Execution thereof by the before named Louisa ORMSBY Andrew JOYNT James JOYNT Helena CALDWELL and  and Andew CALDWELL duly sign and Seal said Memorial and saith the name Robert MOSTYN subscribed as a witness to said Deed and Memorial is this deponents proper name and Handwriting.

Sworn before me this 23 day of December one thousand eight hundred and forty eight at Ballina in the County of Mayo by virtue of a  Commission **ed forth of Her Majestys High  **** of Chancery in Ireland to me directed for taking Affidavits for said Court in and for said Count and I know the Deponent.
