: PATRICK PLUNKETT.......b. 1847 Co. Roscommon, Ireland. His parents were : Thomas Plunket(t) and Elizabeth McDermott(roe). His father died in Ireland. : In about 1856 his widowed mother immigrated to Perth County, Ontario with her : children: Patrick, his brother John, and sisters Margaret and Maria. His : mother died, probably in Canada when Patrick was young. Patrick moved to : Tama County Iowa and was married to Helen Elwood in 1870.
