Thurs., March 10, 1887
Died Mar 5, 1887, of consumption, Mathias Hanrahan, aged 44. He was born in
Kilkirnie, County Clare, Ireland. He came to America in August 1864, and to
Iowa the following spring and in 1867 to Webster County. In 1870 he married
Miss Collins, daughter of Roger Collins of Douglas Township. He leaves a
wife and three children to mourn his loss.

Apr 7, 1887
Palm Sunday was observed at the new Church at Clare as also in the Church on
the Lizard.

Apr 21, 1887
Died Sunday, April 17, 1887, Mrs. T.A. Cunningham, aged 27 years. Leaves
husband and two children. Rev. Fathers at funeral: Rev. T.M. Lenihan and
McCauley of Fort Dodge; Foley of Stuart, Iowa; Carroll of Fonda; Brennan of
Webster City.

Apr 10, 1890
Furlong and Conway have their store well filled with a new stock of dry
goods, very reasonable prices.

Apr 24, 1890
C.E. Griffin is building a house in East Clare.

June 19, 1890
Otto Klapka, our blacksmith, is doctoring an eye soreness caused by pieces
of steel getting into it.
